“Green is the prime color of the world, and that from which its loveliness arises.”- Pedro Calderon de la Barca
The new issue of Peachy Magazine is now live featuring my beloved hometown of Atlanta. There is so much gracious creative talent in the city from chefs and artists to landscape architects and interior designers. Be sure to get your complimentary subscription at the end of this post!
I had a ball working on the Color Wheel feature inspired by the latest fall fashion color trends as well as translating these colors into outfits for Peachy’s Tuesday Tastemaker Series. I have always loved the versatility of the color green. It literally goes with every single color in the universe just as Mother Nature intended. Color expert Karen Haller elaborates, “Emerald green possesses the psychological properties of peace, balance and harmony. It can rejuvenate and restore, giving the feeling of being connected to nature and feeling safe and secure. Symbolically, it communicates luxury and elegance.”
See below for my favorite emerald green picks in art, design, and fashion…
For the outfits, each look has a combination of all the items I love to mix…high and low along with established designers and up-and-coming talent. I envisioned what I would love wearing to three of my favorite pastimes…a posh ladies’ lunch (Anis or The Swan Coach House and then The Atlanta Ballet), a swish night out on the town (drinks at the St. Regis, dinner at the Optimist, and then who knows?) and a day of museum and gallery hopping (High Museum, Gregg Irby Fine Art, Sandler Hudson). For the Color Wheel feature, I was in very good company alongside the dynamic duos of Parker Kennedy Living and Kandrac-Kole Interiors
