2018 has been quite a year of milestones. I do not think I have ever worked harder or been more exhausted! We participated in our largest showhouse to date in Atlanta, completed our first retail boutique for Trina Turk, persevered though another year living with a teen and tween, and celebrated our twentieth wedding anniversary. It was a sprint to get to the finish line of the holidays, deadlines, and end of year projects. I am incredibly grateful to the wonderful clients, artists, vendors, workrooms, colleagues, family, and friends that support me and allow me to do what I love everyday.
New Year’s Day always brings with it a clean slate. I typically share my intentions on the first day of the year. Looking back through past years, they stay pretty consistent so I here is a look back at some of my favorites!

It is hard to believe this is the closing weekend of the Southeastern Showhouse & Gardens presented by Atlanta Home and Lifestyles Magazine. Many thanks to all who have come to see the showhouse filled with so much amazing talent. I will be at the house tomorrow from 1-4 for the final day for anyone who wants to pop in to say hello!
I have had many inquiries about items available in our space. Showhouses provide an amazing source to get incredible high end pieces, custom furniture, art and antiques…many of which are priced well below what they would sell for on the showroom floor. So, if you see something that catches your eye, make sure to look at the price list in each room to see what is still available. You might find the perfect Mother’s Day gift!
The end of the year is always a reflective time for me. It is truly incredible how much can transpire in twelve months which I have been reminded of as I have been doing my annual studio purge this week. I am an incurable sap and get incredibly nostalgic going through pictures and correspondence reminding me of the adventures, memories and friendships I have created over the past year.
Perhaps it is the English major in me, but I am always a sucker for a good quote (which explains why I have a Pinterest board dedicated to 700 of my favorites!) Last year, when I was contemplating resolutions, the quotes seemed to say it better than I could, so I figured I would have another go for 2015! To see last year’s, click here.
