Every spring, the La Cienega Design Quarter hosts it LEGENDS event drawing design enthusiasts to Los Angeles. The theme for LEGENDS 2019 was “Legendary: Icons of Design.” Forty three designers from around the world were invited to create window displays in honor of their favorite design icons. For the first time, guests voted for their favorite window and we were fortunate enough to win the competition.

Inspired by the enchanting exoticism of the orient, my window is an homage to Alberto Pinto, the master of converging cultural aesthetics. Turkish Ionic patterns and Syrian inlaid pieces blend with Moroccan and Indian motifs in exuberant colors revealing how all cultures can harmoniously exist.
