This is the last weekend to see the Southeastern Designer Showhouse and Gardens presented by Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles Magazine. Nestled in the heart of Buckhead, this stunning home is on one of the most magnificent pieces of property in Atlanta. Overlooking a beautiful forest, valley and polo fields, one would never know they were in the midst of the Southeast’s largest city. Click HERE to get tickets. The house was originally built in 1960 and sits on a two acre lot. Always respecting the original design by James Means for the Haverty family, architect Yong Pak, builder Michael Ladisic, landscape architect Richard Anderson and kitchen designer Matthew Quinn created a seamless renovation tying the old house to the new addition.
I was delighted to see so many friends, colleagues and mentors showcasing their incredible talent at this year’s showhouse.Overseeing it all is design doyenne and Honorary Chair Jackye Lanham. I was fortunate enough to work for her while I was in design school in Atlanta. I am forever grateful for all she taught me so much about the design business and I still run my firm the way I learned from her 19 years ago.
There are so many incredible spaces to see and I only wish I could have captured them all. Be sure to watch the amazing video at the end which beautifully captures so many details and the atmosphere of this incredible home. Enjoy the tour!
